About Zoares Kosher Grill
Located in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn, Zoares Kosher Grill offers a menu influenced by Israeli, Yemenite, and Persian culinary traditions. First opening in 2024 with a focus on fresh ingredients and bold flavors, the restaurant caters to diners looking for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine.
Zoares came into fruition when a father and two daughters, vacationing from Los Angeles in Brooklyn, stumbled upon the empty store front. Within the time of their vacation, they signed the lease for the empty lot and decided to move from LA to Brooklyn and open what is now Zoares Kosher Grill.
The menu includes a diverse range of dishes, with several standout options that showcase the restaurant’s fusion approach. Popular items include Ribeye Steak & Lamb Fat Beef Shawarma, Pargiyot, and Schnitzel. Another notable item is the Crispy Pita, a fan favorite fried twist on the classic pita that still holds firm and keeps intact.
For those who prefer something lighter, the Zoares Burger, served with fries, offers a satisfying and straightforward option. Many dishes can be ordered in a pita, baguette, laffa, or as a plate, allowing for customization based on personal preference.
Soups play a significant role in the menu, with choices such as Yemenite Meat Soup, Koobeh Soup, and Bean Soup. These dishes highlight the depth of flavor that characterizes the restaurant’s offerings, with several customers noting that the broths are rich and well-seasoned. Breakfast options like Shakshuka, Malawach, and Burika provide additional variety, making Zoares Kosher Grill a viable choice for different times of the day.
Customer feedback frequently mentions the balance and consistency of preparation. Many reviews highlight the portion sizes, with several guests noting that the meals offer good value. While the restaurant maintains a casual dining atmosphere, service is described as efficient, ensuring that everyone that comes to enjoy the food is served as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality.
Zoares Kosher Grill operates Sunday through Thursday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Fridays from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, closing for Shabbat. Customers can choose from dine-in, takeout, and delivery options, with free delivery available within a 5-mile radius for qualifying orders. With its diverse menu and flavorful offerings, the restaurant continues to draw both locals and visitors seeking a satisfying meal.
