About Rothschild TLV

In May of 2020, Best Replica Watches the Upper East Side of Manhattan got a delicious Israeli import in the opening of Rothschild TLV, a taste of Tel Aviv right on 78th and Lexington.Led by Executive Chef Tal Aboav, Rothschild TLV is focused on fresh ingredients, strong flavors, and high end cooking.

Aboav’s goal is to bring a coveted Micheline star to the kosher world. He is crafting an experience unlike anything currently on the kosher market. He has put a lot of thought into every aspect of the restaurant from the decor to the plates below your food, to the glass holding your craft cocktail.

With the current pandemic precluding them from opening as fully as they would like, they have put together a takeout menu with items that they know will work better for the takeaway and delivery format.

The temporary menu has a nice list of options. For Appetizers, the Miami’s Cigars are very popular. The Miami’s Cigars are filled with beef and onions, and served with tahini and eggplant aioli. Chef Aboav has crafted the dish to look like an actual cigar, complete with a band around the top, and served in a dish reminiscent of an ashtray. It’s an homage to the time he spent in Miami where he was chef at The Harbor Grill and NOMA! If you want something really unique the Black Risotto is decadent and beautiful. Made with forbidden rice, mushrooms, corn cream, short rib, and truffles. The dish looks and tastes fantastic.

Rothschild TLV has also created a line of flatbreads. The Short Rib flatbread is meat paradise. Featuring beautifully braised short rib, onions, and forest mushrooms this is a must try! If you are feeling a bit more adventurous then go for the Grilled Sweetbreads flatbread. The grilled sweetbreads are combined with preserved lemon, babaganoush, and a spicy herb salad for an unforgettable experience.

For mains you need to try the Chicken Tagine. It’s a tasty mix of vegetables, meat, couscous, and heat. If you’re feeling more red meat you have to try one of their lamb dishes like the lamb burger or lamb shank. Aboav has put a lot of focus on the meat dishes and the skill and care shows.

While not fully available yet, Craft Cocktails are going to be a major focus of Rothschild TLV going forward. Chef Aboav put a lot of research and time into finding the right mixologist and he has partnered with Alin Forea to bring a new level of mixology to the kosher world.

While NYC may be home to many good restaurants there is nothing like this right now, so if you want a unique tasty experience with a good amount of Israeli flair check out Rothschild TLV
