About Rothschild TLV
In May of 2020, the Upper East Side of Manhattan got a delicious Israeli import: **Rothschild TLV** offers a taste of Tel Aviv right on 78th and Lexington. Started by Chef Tal, Rothschild TLV is focused on fresh ingredients, strong flavors, and high-end cooking.
When it comes to appetizers, their Miami’s Cigars, filled with beef and onions, and served with tahini and eggplant aioli - are very popular! It been crafted the dish to look like an actual cigar, complete with a band around the top, and served in a dish reminiscent of an ashtray. For something unique, their Black Risotto is decadent and beautiful, made with forbidden rice, mushrooms, corn cream, short rib, and truffles. Their Roasted Cauliflower with spicy green tehina is also a showstopper.
Rothschild TLV has also created a line of flatbreads. The Short Rib Flatbread is a meat paradise featuring beautifully braised short rib, onions, and forest mushrooms. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous then go for the Grilled Sweetbreads Flatbread: grilled sweetbreads are combined with preserved lemon, babaganoush, and a spicy herb salad for an unforgettable experience.
For mains, they have put a lot of focus on the meat dishes - and the skill and care shows. Lamb in particular is a specialty, although the Short Rib and dry-aged beef are also must-tries.
Craft cocktails are also a major focus at Rothschild TLV. Chef Aboav put a lot of research and time into finding the right mixologist to bring a high-end, unique drinking experience to the kosher world.
While NYC may be home to many good restaurants, Rothschild TLV is in a class of its own!
