About OKI Lounge

Japanese Tradition Meets Modern Miami Swank at Oki.

Located in the posh Intracoastal Mall (near the Williams Island Marina on Dumfoundling Bay), Oki is an ultra-chic feast for all the senses in North Miami Beach. This is not your snowbird bubbie’s early-bird-special restaurant—Oki is a trendy and innovative hotspot oozing with hip Miami style that easily competes with even the most buzzworthy and exclusive non-kosher dining destinations around this nightlife-driven metropolis.

The menu at Oki is a compact yet gastronomically expansive selection of meticulously sourced, elegantly prepared, and stunningly presented dishes, showcasing the authentically exotic flavors of Japan in all its innovative presentations, many of which revolve around the bounty of the seas. The Bang Bang Fried Fish Skewers are a delightfully spicy yet surprisingly delicate appetizer of tempura-fried whitefish, furikake spice, Bang Bang sauce, and smoky grilled lime; meanwhile, the alliterative Tamarind Tuna Tataki crudo combines togarashi seared tuna, truffle aioli, tamarind glaze, mango, and the sweet heat of red Fresno chilis. For a more “turfy” starter or side, order from the Mangal Grill section of the menu, which includes options like the Shishito Peppers with soy glaze and ponzu aioli or the Beef & Shishitos Skewers with yakitori glaze and micro cilantro.

The entrees, all served with white rice, continue the flavorful adventure. Go for the white-miso-glazed Bakkafrost Salmon, the Grilled Lamb Chops brushed with shish chimichurri and togarashi, or the Rock Cornish Hen with a savory guyaba BBQ sauce. Or go for a Japanese-style steak like the soy-marinated 8oz Flat Iron or the 10oz Ribeye with black garlic crema. Whatever you choose, save room for some Yuzu Lemon Mousse.

The food at Oki is certainly exceptional, and the cocktails are equally exquisite. Go for a Far Eastern spin on a South American classic with the Lychee Mojito, stick to a strictly Western favorite like the Cosmopolitan or Dirty Martini, or dive into a unique hose-created, Asian-inspired specialty like the Garden of Green—described as a bright blend of peach, yuzu, and whiskey flavors—or the Tokyo Mule—a smooth yet strong cocktail combining vodka with lychee and ginger.
