About Kosher De Brazil
Opened January 2024 in Hallandale Beach, Kosher de Brazil has managed to bring an entirely new type of dining experience to greater Miami’s kosher crowd — quite the feat in this already diverse and booming kosher market. The defining characteristic of this traditional Brazilian style of dining is the involvement of the churrascos, who bring an astonishing variety of fresh-grilled, prime meats throughout the dining room on giant skewers and then expertly slice off portions of whichever you would like right onto your plate.
This is a carnivore’s dream, as there is no need to limit yourself to one particular selection off a menu, and you are welcome to a small taste or a large feast of any and all of these mouth-watering options as they are repeatedly presented at your table.
The succulent, exquisitely prepared cuts with which the churrascos make their tantalizing parade include thin-sliced Beef Picanha, Ribeye, Filet Mignon, Minute Steak, and Beef Ribs; Lamb Picanha and Lamb and Ground Beef Kebabs; and even Chicken Thighs. All are perfectly tender, beautifully seasoned, and authentically juicy and satisfying. As with the meats, there is no need to limit yourself to one or two side dishes, either: the buffet-style Market Table offers a dizzying array of some three dozen different hot and cold appetizers, salads, sides, and sauces, and, as with the meats, you can help yourself to as many kinds — and as many portions — of these items as your heart desires. So feel free to pair your picanha with marinated peppers or pilaf, layer your lamb with lentil soup, or boost your beef ribs with beet salad or babaganoush. And of course, the grilled pineapple!
Of course, you are going to need some liquid libations to go with all of this delicious food, and Kosher de Brazil does not disappoint, offering a well-curated selection of kosher wines and a nice assortment of hand-crafted cocktails. What’s more, the bar area offers not only delicious drinks, but also a more casual dining experience, featuring a select menu of a-la-carte small plates, salads, and entrees. The churrasco experience in the restaurant’s cavernous yet elegant main dining room is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, especially with the unlimited abundance of world-class food running less than $90.00 per person (and under $50.00 per child), but the bar offers a nice alternative for a cozier rendezvous. After all, sometimes you just want to grab a quick bite and a drink with a friend, no reservation — or churrasco — required.
Kosher de Brazil is off to a great start in Miami, and a second location is already scheduled to open in New York in 2025. Who knows? Given the immense popularity of churrasco dining chains in the non-kosher world, perhaps it will become not only the first-ever glatt kosher Brazilian steakhouse, but the first-ever glatt kosher nationwide chain restaurant as well.
