About Eat A Pita

More than just shawarma, Eat A Pita, which restaurateur David Mizrahi opened in 2012, has perfected the expanse of Israeli and Classic American Jewish cuisine. Eat A Pita is not the only Mizrahi venture, but it is the classic start and utterly unforgettable.

Eat A Pita has a casual yet spacious setting. The décor is somewhat funky, with greens, oranges, and a large lighted sign on the wall. It’s the perfect place for kids, who will enjoy the colors and the simplicity, not to mention the food. They’re also suitable for takeout or delivery, both of which they offer.

The majority of the menu consists of Israeli and Deli fare, spread out at a bar at the front of the restaurant. The appetizers, or Mazza as they call it, include kibbeh, a variety of eggs rolls, cigars, and a platter with a little bit of everything for those who can’t choose.

Whether you select your main meal from the Israeli cuisine section or the schnitzel/deli bar (which also includes steak options), it will be served on either pita, laffa, wrap, baguette, or on a plate. They come with salad and hand-cut fries, plus you can add salatim like charif, coleslaw, fried onions, and olives! Eat A Pita started off and is still famous for its shawarma and homemade laffa - made fresh every day in a tandoori oven. Try lamb, chicken, or chatzi/chatzi (mixed grill) for the tastiest shawarma experience. Eat A Pita also serves a vast selection of schnitzel, deli meat, burgers, and hot dogs to suit every taste. From wings to poppers, they have all the fast-food types of chicken you could want.

On Thursday nights, you can purchase cholent, kugel, and kishke, as well as Sefardi Mazza apps, which are made in-house.

Eat A Pita also features a full catering menu - featuring 9x13 trays, full platters, Shabbos catering packages, and corporate packages. They are happy to serve at your private event, be it a wedding, a business lunch, dinner, or cocktail reception. You can also build a meal the perfect size for your family or friend group. Everyone wants to eat a pita - and Eat A Pita is an ideal place for it!
