Shalva hosts Dinner of Champions to Celebrate Marathon Runners
Following the recent New York Marathon Shalva hosted an event celebrating Team Shalva and its 260 runners. I personally attended the event, and I left in awe as to all that Shalva does for the special needs community. The event truly lived up to Shalva’s slogan “Inspiring hope, changing lives” bringing together both American and Israeli runners and showing the unity between all Jews no matter the location. If the last year and change has shown Am Yisrael one thing, it’s that we are strong, unified and resilient. In addition to the wonderful speakers who spoke about the work of Shalva and the ongoing war in Israel we heard from celebrity chef Olivia Ostrow and took a moment to commemorate the Nova Festival with music from DJ Judaa. The proceeds for the event went to Shalva to support all the great work they do on a daily basis. For those who are not familiar with Shalva, they are an organization that takes care of all need for those with special needs from infancy through adulthood. For more information, please visit their website here. Please see our Facebook post here and my Facebook Live
