About Eighteen Restaurant
Located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and known by their loyal following as the hidden gem of the Kosher world, Eighteen Restaurant has managed to capture warmth, vibrancy, and intimacy in a beautifully decorated space. It is a hip and modern Steak, Burger, Sushi experience serving specials that literally keep customers coming back. Coming back is an understatement since Eighteen has been open since 2010, a remarkable accomplishment in the NYC restaurant scene.
In addition to great and affordable food, it has been a memorable spot because of its symbolism in the Jewish religion – “18” numerically in Hebrew is Chai, meaning “Life”. Lunch and dinner is served to families, couples, business professionals and hipsters alike. Influenced by the NYC downtown vibe, contemporary wood décor (custom made and shipped from Mexico) and candle lit tables, the restaurant provides affordability with comfort; you can even ask for the cozy couch sections- there are 2 large couch sections to choose from.
At the entrance is a fabulous bar backed by a colorful aquarium. Top and mid shelf liquors, mixed cocktails and a solid wine menu are ready to serve. More often than not, regulars and new customers are gathering and sitting at the bar giving Eighteen a real neighborhood “Cheers” like feel. At the back of the main dining room there is a sushi bar where customers can experience omakase style service. The sushi menu includes masterpiece rolls such as the Knockout, Salmon Tempura, Red Dragon and Truffle Roll to name a few.
Eighteen’s core base is its signature dishes such as the Eighteen Sushi Pizza, Yemenite Soup, Moroccan Cigar/Mediterranean salads combo, Kebab Bar, Pastrami Burger and for big time meat eaters: Eighteen’s Kings Platter which includes, Rib Steak, Lamb Chop, Beef and Romanian Kebab and Grilled Chicken Breast. Last but not least is the heavenly steak section featuring a perfectly char-flamed grilled Romanian Tenderloin Steak marinated with garlic and peppercorn. If you’re a burger aficionado, you dreams will come true with Eighteen’s in house ground to perfection, USDA prime beef 9 0z grilled burgers. There is a list of delicious burgers to choose from and all main courses include side dishes!!!
The goal is to always serve delicious, fresh meals with generous portions at affordable pricing.
Eighteen is all about the non meat eaters too, offering falafel burgers, falafel platters, veggie burgers, fresh fish served over roasted vegetables and diced potatoes and several different salad bases with choice of toppings. Eighteen also stocks gluten free rolls for burger lovers or anyone who has a gluten free diet. All health conscious diners can find many options to choose from.
The newest addition to the Eighteen Restaurant experience is concept specials. Every night the servers have a list of specials that include dishes that are not on the menus such as meatballs and spaghetti, tacos, eggplant rollatini, cholent, fried cauliflower, fried rice, ramen noodle bowls- to name a few. Concept specials have been a big hit.
Eighteen has built a strong in- restaurant, off-site catering and online ordering business. Eighteen caters for all occasions: private, corporate and nonprofit organizations. Lunch specials are available daily. Pre-fixe menus both standard and custom are available to parties of 12 and over.
