About Brooklyn Artisan Bakehouse (Crown Heights)
With its rustic decor, down to earth ambiance and flavorful menu, Brooklyn Artisan Bakehouse in Crown Heights has been around since 2016 with their breads available in many supermarkets. Owner, Levy Krinsky started the bakery several years ago after a bread-making hobby while working in real estate turned into a full-time gig. Krinsky wanted to utilize the front of his store which has a simple decor along with a long "L" shaped bar. His goal was to open a cafe that specializes in the finest homemade breads topped with the finest ingredients. And so the cafe was born.
The menu includes soups, salads and tartines. The Corn Bisque, which shouldn't be compared to a Cream of Corn Soup, has a nice smooth taste with bits of corn kernels in it. The tartines, known as open faced sandwiches are what everyone will be asking for and the Tomato and Cheese Caprese salad with melted mozzarella and drizzled balsamic vinaigrette is one of the highlights as is the gravlax and cheese with capers in a croissant. Be sure to try the Roasted Butternut Squash with Arugula, the Avocado and Sunny-Side Up open face, the Tuna Nicoise Salad with Egg and vegetables; and finally one of the many delectable pastries made in house.
These creative combinations and selection will make you rethink the ordinary. Brooklyn Artisan Bakehouse is a great choice for a Sunday Brunch or afternoon meal. The menu is constantly changing so each visit will be unique.
