About Evita Steakhouse

Bienvenido a Argentina! Evita Steakhouse has just recently joined the Chicago Kosher Restaurant scene and is offering an array of homey dishes one might find bubbling over a hot stove or roasting inside an oven somewhere in a kitchen in Argentina. Evita is located in Chicago, wedged between Peterson Park, West Rogers Park and Lincolnwood.

Lots of brick, hard wood and warm lighting surround you as you step into the chicly rustic dining space.The mood: sophisticatedly relaxed, with tango boasting in the background.The friendly and attentive owner, Michael Barnatan, is a native Argentinian and excited and passionate to introduce you to his homeland's authentic flavors and delicacies. He frequently switches up the menu in order to cover all the distinct flavors from the various regions in the  large country.

Our chefs work diligently to highlight the flavors being showcased in each dish. Favorite appetizers are, Empanadas Salteñas, pastelitos de molleja, house-made chorizos and morcillas, camarones fritos,  as well as the Puchero - a Beef and Vegetable soup - an intensely flavor-packed star that shouldn't be missed. Popular Entrees include the most classic dish of Buenos Aires, Milanesa con fritas a caballo - Breaded veal with sunny side up eggs and  french fries; the Costillar al horno, braised long ribs served garlic and roasted potatoes, and the Bife de chorizo, a 20 oz boneless ribeye served with any appetizer of your choice, among many more cuts of meats, making it a true steakhouse..Also fish and “seafood”  is served, as Argentina has a very rich and vast  Atlantic litoral. The authentically Argentinian Chimichuri sauce is fantastic and featured with many of the dishes as a dipping sauce.The sandwiches and the flatbreads complement the scene, giving a lot of options to satisfy everyone.

For dessert, the Churro and Helado,a twist on a classic,  a churro bowl filled with ice cream and drizzled in chocolate and caramel is an obvious no-brainer, as this is the only kosher Churro made in Chicago!!  Also,the Peras al Malbec and the Belgian chocolate lava cake are the perfect way to finish your meal.

There is a beautiful, spacious room upstairs, perfect for large parties and other events. Alcohol will be available soon, as well.
